Required Humidity

Lower relative humidity in ripening rooms results in signifi- cantly higher weight loss when compared to rooms with proper humidification. Consistency of color and premature shriveling are also prominent among fruits ripened without sufficient humidity levels. With bananas for instance, proper humidification has been found to substantially reduce bruising.

Ripening Process

Our humidification solutions automatically maintain preset levels of relative humidity (RH). You need only enter desired level on our easy to use digital controller. Then, our precision humidity sensors trigger the fogging heads to activate any time the RH drops below the preset level. RH level is continually displayed on the controller allowing for effortless monitoring.
